Ibercaja has awarded its employees at the Somos Excelentes Awards gala, highlighting their commitment to corporate culture and recognition of outstanding performance. The event took place in Zaragoza on June 2, 2025, as part of the bank’s 149th anniversary and was attended by senior executives including CEO Víctor Iglesias.
The celebration recognized employees from various areas of Ibercaja, including branches, regional offices, and management companies. The event not only served to reward the daily work of these employees but also to reaffirm the corporate values that drive the bank’s operations.
Víctor Iglesias, in his speech, emphasized the institutional transformation that the bank has undergone, highlighting significant achievements in organizational, technological, and commercial areas during 2024. He also made special mention of the Sustainability Award given to employees from areas affected by the DANA, recognizing them as the pride of Ibercaja.
The Director of People, José Ignacio Oto, highlighted the importance of the five pillars of the SOMOS model: Customer Service, Common Goal, Continuous Improvement, Pride of Belonging, and Business Sustainability. He also emphasized the integration of young talent with long-experienced employees as a key behavior for the future of the organization.
Antonio Martínez, Director of Retail Banking, highlighted the achievement of goals related to the growth of committed customers, while the Director of Business Banking pointed out the need to develop robust strategies to gain market share in the business segment.
