Veruela Summer 2025: Family Theatre in Zaragoza this June

The cultural event Veruela Estival will offer three family theatrical performances on Sundays June 1, June 8, and June 14 at 12:30 PM. Specialized Aragonese companies will combine music, storytelling, and participation in shows that encourage imagination and critical thinking.

The Veruela en Familia cycle presents shows full of creativity and educational values.

• June 1: Producciones Kinser presents Los sueños… libros son
  – A clown and classic circus performance featuring Genaro and Jimena as the protagonists.
  – Theme: Celebrates the transformative power of reading and the importance of dreams.
• June 8: MikrÓpera performs Adragón. Tierra de leyenda
  – A lyrical adaptation that subverts traditional roles: heroic female warriors and wise dragons.
  – Includes live singing and music to promote critical analysis of stereotypes.
• June 14: Almozandia Teatro premieres 1,2,3 Carabín Carabán
  – An interactive performance with puppets and popular songs.
  – Set in a magical forest where childhood games originate.

Participating Companies

Meet the Aragonese companies behind these enriching performances.

• Producciones Kinser: Specialists in circus and clown, awarded the Santa Isabel de Arts Scenic award (2021-2022).
• Almozandia Teatro: A Zaragoza-based group founded in 1997 that has managed the El Jardín de las Artes venue since 2020.
• MikrÓpera: A lyrical project active since 2008 that adapts stories into accessible operatic formats.

All performances will take place within the architectural framework of the Monasterio de Veruela, combining historical heritage with innovative stage proposals for family audiences.
