The Ibercaja Foundation has awarded collaboration agreements to 91 social entities in Zaragoza and the province during an event held at the Patio de la Infanta. This initiative is part of the national call for Social Projects by the foundation, which this year will support 315 entities and reach more than 100,000 people. The goal is to promote projects aimed at breaking down inequalities in society.
The agreements were handed out by the general director of the Ibercaja Foundation, José Luis Rodrigo. The event featured participation from neuroscientist Ana Ibáñez, who delivered the presentation “Conscious Self-Care: Neuroscientific Keys to Well-Being in the Social Field,” and a musical performance by violinist Zukhra.
At the national level: The call supports 315 initiatives throughout Spain, benefiting more than 100,000 people. In Aragón: 128 third-sector associations in Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel are supported, with 91 of them located in Zaragoza and its province.
Types of Benefited Projects
The grants are aimed at projects that address:
- Labor insertion and social integration of groups in situations of exclusion.
- Guidance and training to combat school failure and improve education.
- Coverage of basic needs for people in exclusion.
- Actions for personal growth, support for the elderly, and vulnerable groups.
The foundation, with a history of 149 years, is committed to people and their development. Its work focuses on social action to provide equality of rights and opportunities.
