Ibercaja launches «Los tardeos Xplora,» a new live podcast initiative aimed at young people
The Xplora Space of Ibercaja introduces an innovative initiative to bring entrepreneurship and professional development topics closer to young audiences through the podcast format. The first session will take place on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 PM, coinciding with the second anniversary of this space located in the center of Zaragoza.
The inaugural event will feature two prominent guests: Inés Arroyo, founder of the fashion brand Laagam, which combines creativity, social community, and sustainability; and Pablo Sánchez, a social engineer awarded the Princess of Girona Award for his project In3ator, which develops low-cost neonatal incubators for under-resourced hospitals. The podcast will be recorded live in front of the attendees, who can register through the space’s website.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Ibercaja to engage with young people through more appealing formats. According to Alejandra González, coordinator of Xplora, in its second year, they have expanded the offering with more activities aimed at families and youth, and in the new term, they want to enhance programming for younger audiences with more engaging proposals and content.
The bank will continue to promote other activities aimed at this segment, such as the Ibercaja Chairs and Thinkglaos.
Achievements in two years of operation
Since its opening two years ago, the Xplora Space has established itself as a key meeting point in Zaragoza. The figures reflect its success: it has received nearly 45,000 visitors and hosted 377 events with a wide variety of themes.
Content distribution by area:
- New technologies and Artificial Intelligence: 31%
- Talent and leadership: 22%
- Health and wellness: 19%
- Culture and art: 18%
- Sustainability: 11%
Business-related content has represented 44% of the total. The space has achieved an occupancy rate of nearly 75% of the working days of the year, with an average of slightly more than one event per day.
Over one hundred institutions, business organizations, associations, companies, media, business clusters, sports federations, universities, and training schools have hosted activities in this space over the past two years.
The prime location in the city center, the space’s conditioning with advanced techniques for meetings and events, and the bank’s characteristic closeness have been key factors in its establishment as a reference space for Zaragoza and the Aragon Community.
