Azcón discusses the future CAP with agricultural organizations in Aragón

The president of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, together with the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food, Javier Rincón, and the Director General of Agricultural Production, Carlos Calvo, will hold a meeting tomorrow with the agricultural organizations UAGA, ASAJA, ARAGA, UPA, as well as Agricultural Cooperatives of Aragon, to analyze the proposal from the European Commission for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) after 2027.

The meeting aims to discuss the new Multiannual Financial Framework and the proposal for the CAP 2028-2034, the dialogue and negotiation process with the European Commission, the impact on the Aragonese sector, and the matters raised during the Consultative Council on Agricultural Policy and Fisheries Policy for Community Affairs, held yesterday in Madrid with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas.

The meeting will delve into the spirit of collaboration between the central government and the autonomous communities, seeking a joint strategy to defend the interests of the agricultural sector in European negotiations, with the goal of achieving a CAP tailored to the specific needs of each region.
