INAEM Launches Virtual Reality Tool for Employment in Aragon

The Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM) has launched a virtual reality tool designed to enhance employability through training and evaluation of job skills. This initiative, presented by Mercedes Sanagustín at the event The Wave, marks a significant advance in the application of new technologies for training and employment in Aragon.

Innovation in Labor Training with Virtual Reality

The new tool from INAEM allows users to experience real work situations through 360-degree videos, compelling them to make decisions in real-time and discover their key professional competencies. This immersive audiovisual material, which is played using virtual reality headsets, immerses participants in simulated stories that reflect authentic work environments. Thus, everyday professional situations are recreated, offering a practical and direct learning experience.

Implementation in the Commerce Sector

In its pilot phase, the project has focused on the commerce sector, an area with a high demand for transferable skills. Participants are faced with situations requiring customer attention, effective communication, management of unforeseen events, and decision-making, all in a context that simulates the real productive environment. This experience aims to enhance workers’ capacity to respond to the demands of the current labor market.

Objectives and Benefits for Employment

The main objective of this initiative is to provide public employment services with innovative tools for professional guidance. By training and evaluating key skills using immersive technologies, the COE reinforces its commitment to methodological innovation and the digitization of processes. Claudia Pérez Forniés, acting counselor of Employment, Science, and Universities, has highlighted that virtual reality is transforming guidance and professional development in Aragon, thus improving the alignment of professional profiles with labor market needs.
