The technological congress The Wave has far exceeded all expectations in its third edition. With more than 20,000 registrants, the event multiplies six times the number of participants from its first edition, held two years ago, and establishes itself as one of the leading forums for technological innovation in Southern Europe.
The acting Vice President of the Government of Aragon, Mar Vaquero, highlighted the success of the event during her visit to the Palacio de Congresos de Zaragoza, the main venue of the congress. «We are far exceeding the expected attendance,» Vaquero stated, emphasizing the high level of networking among participants and the strong youth component of the audience. The majority of attendees are between 20 and 35 years old, reflecting the event’s goal of awakening technological vocations and attracting talent to the Aragonese ecosystem.
A Congress in Full Swing
The Wave has not only broken participation records but has also transformed Zaragoza into a «universe of technological innovation and exploration of the business future.» The program includes over 250 international speakers, with sessions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, connectivity, and new business models. Leading companies such as Hiberus, Huawei, Adidas, Airbnb, and Novartis actively participate alongside key figures from the Aragonese business landscape.
The event combines three intensive days of practical conversations and strategic connections at the Palacio de Congresos. Initiatives such as the Hackathon Hacking the Future have brought together 260 participants to solve real challenges using emerging technologies, especially AI.
A Clear Commitment to Young Talent
One of the most valued aspects is the marked generational profile of the congress. The final day is oriented toward a young audience, with interactive activities and a focus on attracting talent.
Mar Vaquero has pointed out that this approach responds to the need to position Aragon as a technological attraction hub, generating opportunities for skilled employment and strengthening the digital ecosystem amid the transformation driven by AI.
Impact on Aragon and Future Prospects
The Wave arrives at a time of strong technological growth in Aragon, with investments in infrastructure and an increasingly mature ecosystem. Organized with the support of the Government of Aragon, the congress is not only a showcase of trends but also a catalyst for strategic alliances, investment, and the development of innovative projects.
With this record-breaking edition, The Wave consolidates itself as a reference event that aims to turn Aragon into a top-tier technological hub in Europe.
