Integra Tecnología celebrated its 40th anniversary in Zaragoza with an event bringing together institutional and business representatives, clients, partners, and company professionals. Founded in Calatayud in 1986 as Izquierdo Informática, the company reaches the four-decade mark with more than 1,000 professionals and a client portfolio of over 3,000.
The gala, held on September 3 at Ibercaja’s Patio de la Infanta, traced the company’s evolution from its early years, linked to training and the introduction of computing in businesses, to its current technology operations. The event also unveiled several initiatives through which Integra is approaching its next stage, including the ViCOR Foundation and its future corporate building in the Alierta Aragonese Technology District.
From Izquierdo Informática to a company with more than 1,000 professionals
Integra’s story began in Calatayud four decades ago. Since its initial phase as Izquierdo Informática, the company has steadily expanded its areas of expertise, capabilities, and operations while maintaining its Aragonese roots and family-owned character.
Today, Integra employs more than 1,000 professionals, works with more than 3,000 clients, and maintains partnerships with technology manufacturers, universities, institutions, and business associations.
Integra Tecnología CEO Félix Gil used the celebration to identify five factors that, in his view, have shaped the company’s trajectory: the ability to anticipate change, its partners along the way, innovation and diversification, a people-centered culture, and the commitment to building a legacy for future generations.
The evolution of technology was the central thread of a gala designed as a journey through time. The staging connected the early years of computing with some of today’s technological challenges, combining speeches with audiovisual resources, artificial intelligence, humor, and magic.
Attendees and speakers included the president of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón; Zaragoza Mayor Natalia Chueca; Ibercaja Chairman Víctor Iglesias; Ibercaja Director of Communications, Brand and Institutional Relations Enrique Barbero; Santander España Vice Chairman Manuel Cendoya; Integra CEO Félix Gil; and company Chairman Carlos Pascual.
ViCOR Foundation and new headquarters in the Technology District
The 40th-anniversary commemoration also highlighted several projects through which Integra aims to shape its future. One is the recent creation of the ViCOR Foundation, focused on creating opportunities through training, technology, and knowledge.
This initiative is complemented by plans for a new corporate building in the Alierta Aragonese Technology District, which will strengthen the company’s presence in Zaragoza and its ties to Aragon’s technology ecosystem.
The link between the company’s business trajectory and its upcoming projects was also addressed in a conversation between Integra Chairman Carlos Pascual and Ibercaja Director of Communications, Brand and Institutional Relations Enrique Barbero. The two reviewed some of the milestones that have shaped the company’s evolution, from its origins through its growth, diversification, and professionalization processes.
The president of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, closed the speaking program at an event that concluded by recognizing the professionals, clients, families, partners, and institutions that have accompanied Integra throughout its four decades in business.
The celebration thus marks two milestones for the company: the 40 years since its founding in Calatayud and a new phase defined by projects such as the ViCOR Foundation and its future headquarters in the Alierta Aragonese Technology District.
