MotorLand Aragón has been chosen as the venue to receive more than 30 international students who are starting the 6th edition of the Master’s in Motorsport Engineering. This inaugural event, which combines institutional activities and visits to the circuit, marks the beginning of an immersive training program in the world of motorsport competition.
Training and welcome in a competitive environment
The welcome event featured key figures from the industry, such as Jorge Panadés Andreu, Managing Director of MotorLand Aragón; Raquel García, Director of Businesses and Strategic Alliances at SEAS Higher Open Studies; Jesús Baquero, President of the Real Club Circuito Guadalope and General Secretary of the Aragonese Automobile Federation; and Omar Baselga, Head of the Master’s program. The students participated in a guided tour of the MotorLand facilities, visiting essential areas such as the paddock, race control, and technical boxes. This first contact with the professional environment took place while the penultimate race of the Winter Series was being held, providing students with a direct experience of the competitive atmosphere.
Interaction with motorsport experts
The day continued with an interactive session featuring faculty members Miquel Gimeno and José Estarlich, who shared their experience in the field of competition. Additionally, the driver Víctor Cubeles, from the partner company Gaman Racing, offered his perspective from the viewpoint of the driver, thereby enriching the educational experience for the students.
Impact and international reach of the program
Since its inception, the Master’s in Motorsport Engineering has trained more than 180 engineers from various nationalities, many of whom currently work in competition teams and technology companies. The program, supported by MotorLand Aragón, SEAS Higher Open Studies, and San Jorge University, also has the backing of the Government of Aragón. Its faculty, composed of professionals from international championships such as MotoGP and Formula 1, delivers applied knowledge in telemetry, data analysis, and vehicle dynamics, ensuring cutting-edge training for its students.
