The San Blas Integrated Public Center for Vocational Training has been accredited as a National Reference Center in Environmental Management, a achievement that strengthens Teruel’s position as a strategic center for sustainable training. This recognition places it among the 40 specialized state centers in Spain.
Recognition and Institutional Participation
The presentation of the recognition was attended by Luis Mallada, General Director of Planning, Centers, and Vocational Training of the Government of Aragon, along with institutional representatives and experts from the environmental sector. During the event, a national verification of the center took place, and the Annual Work Plan was presented, which will guide the specific actions of the NRC in environmental management.
Mallada emphasized the importance of the ecological transition, highlighting that the CPIFP San Blas becomes an essential player in addressing the country’s environmental challenges. According to Mallada, National Reference Centers are designed to anticipate the needs of the productive system, promote innovation in vocational training, and generate useful knowledge.
Commitment to Sustainable Development
The general director emphasized that the environmental management sector is not only crucial for employment and economic development but also promotes a growth model that respects the natural environment. The core values of the NRC include excellence in training, collaboration among institutions, businesses, and the education system, as well as commitment to the territory.
For her part, Lina Soler, the center’s director, explained that the objectives of the NRC are aligned with a multiannual work plan established by the Ministry. These objectives prioritize collaboration with the productive sector, adapting training to new profiles of the green economy, and promoting teacher training at the national level.
