The Government of Aragón allocates 2.5 million euros to the JOVEM program to encourage the hiring of individuals under 30

The Government of Aragon, through the Aragonese Employment Institute (INAEM), has announced the reopening of the JOVEM Program, a strategic initiative endowed with 2.5 million euros aimed at incentivizing the hiring of young unemployed individuals in the autonomous community. This call, presented by the Minister of Employment, Science, and Universities, Claudia Pérez Forniés, seeks to facilitate the labor insertion of those under 30 years old into the regular labor market.

Structure of the Grants and Beneficiaries

The program is designed to subsidize work contracts, both full-time and part-time (as long as it exceeds 50% of the ordinary workday), with a minimum duration of six months. The amounts of the grants are linked to the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) and vary according to the profile of the hired individual:

  • Six-month contracts: The base subsidy amounts to 5,500 euros.

  • Increases by Qualification: If the young person holds a university degree, vocational training (intermediate or advanced level), or professional certificates, the grant increases to 6,500 euros.

  • Vulnerable Groups: In the case of young individuals belonging to groups facing greater difficulties in entering the labor market, the amount reaches 7,500 euros.

These amounts can be increased by an additional 10% if hiring is done with women or in workplaces located in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, thereby reinforcing the fight against the gender gap and rural depopulation.

Requirements for Companies and Entities

These grants are available to companies, self-employed workers, and non-profit entities that operate in Aragon. As an essential condition, the beneficiary entities must maintain the subsidized job position for the stipulated period and comply with the stability requirements set forth in the regulations.

The JOVEM Program is part of the regional government’s active employment policies to combat youth unemployment and improve the competitiveness of the local business fabric through the integration of young talent. According to data provided by the Ministry, this investment of 2.5 million euros is capable of directly benefiting hundreds of young Aragonese, consolidating a model of public-private collaboration in labor matters.

The deadline for submitting applications has been opened following the official publication of the call, allowing companies to process files electronically through the electronic headquarters of the Government of Aragon.
