The Lacasa KKO Foundation has taken a significant step in its commitment to social development in Côte d’Ivoire. On February 9 and 10, the organization inaugurated a new educational classroom and made an important donation for healthcare training in Bocanda. These events, attended by the Spanish Ambassador and local authorities, highlight international collaboration in key areas such as education and health.
Educational Expansion in Kotokounou
The inauguration of the third classroom at the Lacasa KKO School in Kotokounou marks a milestone in the educational project launched in 2024. This expansion not only addresses the increase in the number of students but also reinforces the center’s role as an educational pillar in the local community. The new infrastructure will allow more children to access quality education, solidifying the Foundation’s presence in the region.
In the health sector, the Lacasa KKO Foundation has made a donation of 1.8 million CFA francs aimed at training personnel for the new neonatal section of the General Hospital of Bocanda. This investment is crucial for improving care for newborns and enhancing the quality of healthcare services in the region. Specialized training for medical staff is an essential step to ensure adequate care for the youngest patients.
The events were led by Macarena Lacasa, President of the Foundation, and Rémy Allemone, General Director of SOLEA and Secretary General of the Foundation. The Spanish Ambassador, Guillermo Marín Gorbea, emphasized the importance of these initiatives as an example of collaboration between Spain and Côte d’Ivoire in the fields of social and economic development.
