The Aragonese company Ñaming has completed the construction of a new industrial facility measuring 1,373 square meters in Mallén (Zaragoza), which will increase its production capacity by 30% and enable the hiring of 60 new workers. The Vice President of the Government of Aragon, Mar Vaquero, and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food, Javier Rincón, visited the facilities on Wednesday.
The expansion has involved an investment of 2.1 million euros in civil works, along with an additional 2 million euros for the acquisition of machinery. The new facility, built by Aragonese companies, will feature an independent, climate-controlled production area designed to integrate with the International Featured Standards quality certification.
The total facilities of Ñaming in Mallén amount to 7,200 square meters. The new building includes storage rooms for refrigerated raw materials and bread, a production area capable of supporting four new production lines, changing rooms, staff dining area, and loading docks.
Mar Vaquero described Ñaming as a «success story» that has enabled «transforming opportunities into employment and development, stabilizing populations, attracting talent, generating wealth, and demonstrating that rural Aragon can be as competitive as any urban environment.» The Vice President emphasized the company’s connection to the land, the agro-food importance of Aragon, and the commitment to innovation.
For his part, Javier Rincón highlighted that the agro-food sector represents 10% of Aragon’s GDP and generates over 20,000 direct jobs. Exports from Aragon’s agro-industry reached 3.713 billion euros in 2024, a 5% increase from the previous year. The Government of Aragon has launched a support plan for the agro-food industry endowed with 18.57 million euros to promote projects focused on digitalization, innovation, and internationalization.
Company Growth Plans
The General Director of Ñaming, Jorge Miranda, detailed the company’s future plans. In addition to the 8 million euros invested in the last three years for expansion and new production lines, there is a goal to continue with a new expansion that could double the current size, as well as production capacity and the number of jobs.
Miranda explained that the Mallén plant is «strategic» for producing 40 million units annually and making 200,000 deliveries in a single year, which accounts for 54% of the market share in 2024. The company produces over 200 different references and launches 30 new recipes each year. Its products are consumed daily by more than 200,000 people and are present in over 40,000 points of sale.
