Second STEAM GeneratiON Cycle Boosts AI Opportunities for Young People

Fundación hiberus and Fundación Ibercaja have launched the 2nd STEAM GeneratiON Series, a series of events for young people ages 16 to 30 focused on career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics amid the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence.

STEAM GeneratiON explores how to find opportunities in the age of artificial intelligence

Under the title “Find Your Place in the Age of AI”, the series examines how young people can position themselves in a rapidly changing market and technological environment. The initiative aims to bring STEAM disciplines closer to new generations, spark their interest, and showcase career paths linked to these fields.

The program also creates spaces for participants to share experiences and meet professional role models. The goal is to help attendees identify opportunities in sectors related to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

The initiative is part of the #TICVolución agreement, which the two foundations have jointly promoted since 2019. Through this partnership, they develop training activities, competitions, workshops, and projects focused on digital employability, technological inspiration, and STEAM opportunities.

More than 80 attendees in Logroño with Miguel Ángel Durán, midudev

The first event of this second edition was held on October 1, 2026, at Fundación Ibercaja’s headquarters in Logroño, drawing more than 80 attendees. The event featured Miguel Ángel Durán, known as midudev, a software developer, content creator, and programming and technology educator.

Durán shared his journey from his first steps in programming and explained some of the challenges he faced throughout his professional career. In his remarks, he addressed the feeling of not being good enough and the impostor syndrome that accompanied him for years.

The educator emphasized the need to continue training in STEAM disciplines in the face of technological change. “The goal is not to compete with artificial intelligence, but to understand it, use it, and learn to build new solutions with it,” he said during the event.

The session also highlighted the need to ask new questions as technology evolves. The message conveyed to attendees was that it is not always necessary to have all the answers before starting, but rather to take the first step and continue learning.

Valencia and Madrid to host the next STEAM GeneratiON events

The series will continue on October 27 at Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia. The event will be held in collaboration with the Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros and the university itself.

The second edition of STEAM GeneratiON will conclude on November 25 in Madrid, where the program’s final session will be held.
