Pilar Festival 2025: Record Attendance of 2,686,719 in Zaragoza

The Fiestas del Pilar 2025 receive a rating of 7.9 points and surpass 2.6 million attendees in Zaragoza

The Fiestas del Pilar 2025 have concluded with a high level of citizen satisfaction, as revealed by the provisional attendance report and the opinion survey commissioned by the Zaragoza City Council. Eight out of ten Zaragoza residents rate the festivities as good or very good, giving an average score of 7.9 out of 10. Participation reached 2,686,719 attendees, surpassing the figure from 2024 and setting a new record before accounting for the final events on October 13.

The opinion survey conducted on October 12, 2025, indicates that 80.9% of Zaragoza residents rate the festivities as good or very good. Especially noteworthy is the 38.1% who rate them as very good, the highest figure since the historical series began in 2013. The overall average rating of 7.9 points improves upon the 2024 score (7.67) and is just a tenth below the historical high (8.005).

Young people under 30 are the most satisfied group with an average score of 8.74 points, while those over 60 hold a more moderate opinion. By gender, men give an average of 8.04 points compared to 7.78 for women.

The survey was conducted by the company A+M through 1,000 personal interviews in the city of Zaragoza, with a confidence level of 95.5% and a margin of error of ±3.16%.

The children’s programming and traditional events received the highest ratings. The Opening Ceremony and the Offering of Flowers received 56.4% very good ratings, while children’s programming reached 43.4%.

Among municipal services, cleanliness achieved a historic record with 8.59 points, and public safety received a score of 7.9, reinforcing the perception of safe and well-managed festivities. Mobility (6.78) and safe spaces (6.61) remained stable compared to 2024.

The most well-known and frequented venues are the Fuente de Goya – Amber Stage, the Fuente de la Hispanidad, and Río y Juego, all with knowledge levels exceeding 90%. The Jardín de Invierno, Estación del Norte, and Espacio Xior are gaining recognition among younger audiences.

The Offering of Flowers has once again set a new record with 592,000 participants (120,000 offerers and 472,093 audience members), marking an increase of 8.5% in offerers and 15% in public compared to 2024, becoming the most crowded Offering in history. For the first time, the event extended to October 13, concluding at 00:19 hours.

A total of 1,158 groups participated, encompassing 106,897 people, an increase of 11.60% compared to the previous year. An additional area of the structure was opened, used only in rare exceptions for flower placement.

The Offering of Fruits has doubled the attending audience, rising from 52,000 people in 2024 to 114,875 in 2025. The number of offerers exceeded 3,700, tripling the number of individual Zaragoza residents participating to nearly 800.

Massive participation in street events

The street events attracted 2,075,610 attendees, representing 77.25% of the total recorded participation during the festivities. Traditional events gathered 1,061,013 attendees, major venues and concerts attracted 478,498, and specialized spaces in squares and streets drew 819,320 people.

Notable highlights include the Food Trucks at Parque San Pablo (153,300 people), the Fairgrounds at Valdespartera (445,100), and the Oktoberfest at Valdespartera (26,041).

Large venues and music programming

The major venues of the festivities recorded excellent attendance figures with 290,161 people. The Espacio Zity gathered 239,000 people, while the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe hosted 22,568 attendees across three concerts.

The Zaragoza Princesa Leonor Auditorium registered 28,593 attendees in its three halls. The main theaters in the city totaled more than 25,100 attendees, with the Palacio de Congresos nearing 11,000 attendees.

The concerts at the Amber Stage at Fuente de Goya in Plaza del Pilar attracted 184,888 attendees, with the most attended being the Los40 Pop Festival, which saw 37,941 people, followed by Los40 Dance (35,550) and Padre Guilherme (17,070).

Children’s programming and its success

The children’s offerings reached 251,522 participants. Río y Juego led the attendance with 130,000 children, followed by the Puppet Park (29,215 attendees and 7,917 tickets sold, a 10% increase compared to 2024) and the Puppet Fair (6,623).

The Giant and Big-head Parade and its children’s slides recorded 85,184 uses. The new León Garganchón became the main attraction with 15,296 participants, surpassing Tragachicos (11,888) and emerging as the new children’s icon of the Pilar.

Economic impact and information channels

The average estimated spending per person during the festivities amounts to 200.02 euros, slightly higher than the previous year (191.7 euros), representing an approximate increase of 5% and placing it as the second best figure in the historical series.

Citizens primarily get informed through friends and family (35.8%), digital media (19.6%), and the printed program (15.4%). Official social media channels are well-rated by 74% of respondents.

Digital presence and social media

The Fiestas del Pilar 2025 generated a total of 10.4 million impressions across various digital platforms. Instagram remains the main channel with 6.7 million impressions, followed by Facebook with 2.8 million and TikTok with 0.6 million. The municipal networks reached 5.5 million accounts and exceeded half a million interactions.
