Six Aragon-based startups are among the 101 most innovative companies in Spain selected in the third edition of the Top 101 Spain Up Nation Awards for Impact Entrepreneurship. Aragón has thus increased its presence in a call that drew 367 applications from across the country.
Six Aragon-based startups join the Top 101 in innovative entrepreneurship
The National Technical Committee, made up of representatives from the ADR Forum and the National Innovation Company, Enisa, selected the companies to receive the award in the 2026 edition. Of the 19 applications from Aragón, six were selected—a success rate of nearly 32 percent, above the national average of 27.5 percent.
The selected companies are EXXN Engineering AI and Telecom, a manufacturer of analyzers for diagnosing and verifying fiber-optic networks; Lirio Bionics, which specializes in customized robotic prosthetics incorporating artificial intelligence and haptic feedback; and SeaX AI, which develops autonomous perimeter surveillance for large industrial sites using an unmanned electric vehicle.
Also recognized were Alan Commissioning, which provides commissioning and infrastructure startup services for data centers; Promethenz, a Deep Tech spin-off from the CSIC focused on a nanotherapeutic platform designed to generate cytotoxic agents locally within a tumor; and BioPredX, which develops predictive software using artificial intelligence and machine learning to anticipate biomolecular properties, design proteins and assess genetic variants.
Aragón accounts for nearly 6 percent of companies recognized in Spain
The six Aragon-based companies account for nearly 6 percent of the nationwide total of selected businesses, twice Aragón’s demographic share of the country’s population. They all share a technology-driven profile, growth potential and an international outlook.
The Instituto Aragonés de Fomento led the outreach, evaluation and support for applications from the region, along with the Territorial Committee. The final selection took into account the companies’ assessments and the evaluations obtained during the territorial and national stages of the process.
Logroño will host the Top 101 Awards gala on November 18
The Top 101 Spain Up Nation Awards ceremony will be held on November 18 at La Rioja’s conference center, Riojafórum, in Logroño. Events will run on November 18 and 19, with the La Rioja Economic Development Agency, ADER, serving as host.
The recognized companies will be able to take part in presentations, panel discussions, professional meetings and networking sessions. The program will bring together entrepreneurs, large companies, investors, potential clients and institutions, focusing on forging commercial partnerships, new business opportunities and funding channels.
