Aragón Launches Ambitious Communication Plan to Enhance the Social Sustainability of Tourism

The Confederation of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Aragon (CEHTA), with the support of the Government of Aragon, presented this Tuesday the communication campaign for the Social Sustainability Plan of Tourism. The initiative, which bears the slogan «In Aragon, tourism is life: respect, enjoy, live», aims to raise awareness among both industry professionals and visitors about the role of tourism as a social engine and a key tool for balanced territorial development.

The event, held at the Xplora Space of Ibercaja, served to publicly present the graphic image of the campaign and a promotional spot that reinforces the central message: sustainable tourism is not only an environmental commitment but a social investment that returns value to the community. The presentation was led by Fernando Martín, president of CEHTA, and included the participation of Manuel Blasco, the regional minister of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, as well as representatives from the public and private sectors.

During his speech, Fernando Martín emphasized that “sustainability is also a business strategy, as travelers prioritize sustainable establishments.” He also highlighted that the plan aims to enhance the prestige of industry professionals and solidify tourism as a generator of wealth, employment, and population retention.

The Social Sustainability Plan, initially presented in April, has already executed 30% of its budget on actions such as creating the graphic image, the audiovisual campaign, a decalogue of good practices in development, sector meetings with entrepreneurs, and training in circular economy and local product.

Minister Blasco underscored the value of this strategic approach as a model for quality tourism and social commitment. “Aragon is a cultural, gastronomic, and tourist jewel. What matters is not only to grow in visitors but also in their engagement, the quality of their experience, and their respect for the environment,” he stated.

The campaign will be disseminated through digital media, press, radio, and social networks, and will also have the support of influencers and associations from the tourism sector. Its deployment aligns with the goals of the Department of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon, which promotes a sustainable and socially committed tourism model.

With this initiative, Aragon not only reaffirms itself as a reference destination but also commits decisively to tourism with awareness, soul, and future.
