Puerto Venecia has inaugurated a temporary space showcasing the collections of the six finalists of the XX Young Designers Contest of Aragon. Located on the upper floor of the shopping center, this pop-up functions as a creative gallery and point of sale, operating exclusively on July 11 and 12. The initiative arises from the collaboration between FITCA and Puerto Venecia to promote local emerging talent.
Location and Duration
The space is situated next to Zara and Adolfo Domínguez on the upper floor, with hours on Friday, July 11 (19:00–22:00) and Saturday, July 12 (10:00–22:00).
The six finalist designers are Paula Caballero, Bárbara Burgos, Silvia Carnero, Clara Munz, Nahia Tavira, and Lara Marín. The featured collection is NEXDEN by Lara Marín, the contest winner, focused on denim upcycling and sustainability. Other proposals include The Craft and Luxury by Paula Caballero, It Must Be Because I Love You by Bárbara Burgos, Code by Silvia Carnero, Belladona by Clara Munz, and Predatory Elegance by Nahia Tavira.
The event was attended by Carmen Herrarte from the Government of Aragon, Carlos Gimeno from the Zaragoza City Council, Luis Aparicio of FITCA, and Yolanda Gimeno of Puerto Venecia. Herrarte emphasized that «Fashion is a cultural industry to project identity and innovation,» while Gimeno highlighted the importance of «making creative talent from Zaragoza visible.»
The pop-up aims to continue the exhibition post-Aragon Fashion Week, facilitate designers’ entry into the market and contact with real audiences, and reflect Puerto Venecia’s commitment to emerging local fashion.
