The General Directorate of Tourism and Hospitality of Aragon has launched «With the 5 Senses. The Andalusian Legacy in Aragon,» a project that integrates routes, publications, and multimedia resources to enhance nine centuries of historical heritage.
The initiative includes the Great Andalusian Route, which spans five stages covering locations such as Huesca, Zaragoza, Calatayud, Daroca, and Albarracín. Other planned routes include «Wasqa. Border Territory,» which focuses on Alberuela del Tubo and the Andalusian towers of Lupiñén; «The Andalusian Face of Moncayo,» which connects Torrellas, Tarazona, Borja, and Utebo; «On the Way to the Mudéjar Capital,» which includes Zaragoza and Teruel; and finally, «Jalón and Jiloca,» covering Rueda de Jalón, Calatayud, and Daroca.
As part of this ambitious project, a unique narrative by José Luis Corral has been created, available in several languages, including Spanish, English, French, and Arabic. Additional materials such as a sensory guide, comics, a tourist brochure, and eight educational podcasts and videos have also been developed, offering an immersive experience alongside interactive 360º virtual tours. All these resources will be accessible through a unified digital platform.
This effort is framed within «Innova Andalusian Experience,» which has a total budget of 1 million euros from the Spanish Recovery Plan, of which Aragon has received 200,000 euros for the execution of the project. The official presentation will take place in Madrid on June 3, and it will include a documentary with a chapter dedicated to the cultural riches of Aragon.
