Annually, unemployment decreased by 5.56%, equivalent to 2,779 fewer individuals compared to June 2024. These changes position Aragón as the second autonomous community with the largest decrease in unemployment in Spain during that month.
Breakdown by Province, Gender, and Sectors
The decrease in unemployment in Aragón was observed across all its provinces and major sectors. Huesca led with a reduction of 5.91%, followed by Teruel with 4.07% and Zaragoza with 3.92%. By sector, services, industry, agriculture, and construction saw significant reductions, with agriculture experiencing the largest monthly percentage decline of 6.25%. In terms of gender, women and men saw reductions of 3.79% and 4.84%, respectively, in the last month.
In June 2025, there were 53,531 contracts registered in Aragón, an increase of 20.66% compared to the previous month. Of these, 20,264 were permanent contracts, representing 37.85% of the total, while the remaining 33,267 were temporary. Additionally, the average affiliation to Social Security reached a historical record of 642,231 affiliates, with an increase of 1.55% compared to the previous month and 1.93% compared to the previous year.
