The cultural program Veruela Estival organized by the Diputación de Zaragoza continues to offer a diverse range of family entertainment at the historic Monastery of Santa María de Veruela, located in Vera de Moncayo. The programming, which will run until the end of September, includes children’s theater, music, dance, contemporary circus, theatrical visits, and sound tours, merging culture and heritage in a unique setting.
Children’s Theater and Family Shows
On the upcoming Sunday, June 21, Veruela Estival will present the children’s theater show «El Puntazo» at 12:30 PM outside the monastery church. Admission will be free, providing families with the opportunity to enjoy a performance that promises laughter and surprises. This show, produced by PAI teatro animación, features Las Maris, two women who invite the audience to become accomplices in a fun-filled competition full of challenges.
The programming will continue on June 28 with «Tú superhéroe de confianza» (Captain Spriki), also aimed at family audiences and free of charge. Veruela Estival has designed a program that encompasses various activities throughout the summer, with a recommended age of 4 years and older.
Veruela Verano: Music in a Historic Setting
The Veruela Verano festival, an integral part of Veruela Estival, will take place in August featuring a musical lineup that includes artists such as Pancho Varona (August 1), Las Migas (August 8), Queralt Lahoz (August 15), and Depedro (August 22). The concerts will be held at 7:30 PM in the monastery church, with a capacity of 450 tickets available at a price of 9 euros each.
The Monastery of Santa María de Veruela, declared a Cultural Heritage Site in 2003, offers a unique environment where history, nature, and culture intertwine, creating an ideal setting to enjoy the scheduled cultural activities. The monastery’s cloister, in particular, stands out as a conducive space for relaxation and enjoyment of music.
