Dalai Valdespartera Wins the VII Croquette Contest in Zaragoza

Dalai Valdespartera was crowned the winner of the VII Croquette Contest of Zaragoza and its province, held at the Aura hospitality complex, highlighting its croquette «Ternasco FAB». This event, which took place in 2025, recognized culinary excellence in various categories and promoted innovation in food and beverage pairings.

«We have been pursuing this award for many years, reaching the finals several times, and this year we have finally achieved it. We are very satisfied because, in addition, this edition had a very high level,» Marcos Gil, owner of Dalai Valdespartera.

Winners by Category

Dalai Valdespartera won the overall prize with its croquette «Ternasco FAB», and also triumphed in the Ternasco de Aragón IGP category. In the Jamón de Teruel DOP category, Sophia Bistró took home the prize with «Sophia’s Croquette». Meanwhile, Bistrónomo Tapas won in the Innovative category with «Beer Braised Rabbit», and Restaurante Mara stood out in Local Foods with «Zaragoza Borraja in Three Textures».

Special Awards

The special awards went to: Burgolés for Best Wine Pairing with Bodegas Aragonesas; Flash Alagón for Best Pairing with Cervezas Ambar; Casa Arriazu for Best Poultry Croquette —Aldelís—; El Truco, the Frutas Javier Mené award, and El Gratal for Best Gluten-Free Croquette.

Judging Panel and Organization

The jury was composed of prominent figures such as Miguel Ángel Almodóvar, food writer, and Mariano Millán from Heraldo de Aragón, along with representatives from CEHTA and DOP Jamón de Teruel.
