The Aragonese Institute of Women (IAM) has launched a new edition of its #IAMformación plan with 18 free courses available until the end of the year. Registrations open on September 1 through the portal www.iamformación.es, with a limit of 50 places per course.
All training sessions are free, lasting two hours each, and are conducted via videoconference. The courses aim to promote gender equality in businesses and organizations, as well as the professional and digital development of women entrepreneurs and those seeking or improving employment. They are also targeted at training professionals working in the prevention and intervention of violence against women.
Thematic Areas and Specific Content
Violence against Women: This area analyzes aspects of gender-based violence and sexual violence, self-care for professionals working in these fields, the challenges faced by women victims, and emotional management for mothers of victims of gender-based violence.
Guidance and Employment: This includes designing strategies for active job search and managing basic digital tools for employment.
Equality in Business: This covers courses on equality plans, keys for diagnosis and preparation, and protocols for sexual harassment or gender-based harassment in an organization.
Entrepreneurship: This addresses strategies to improve presence on social media and business models in the era of artificial intelligence.
Digital Area: Courses are offered on Canva and AI applications for design, and Trello as a tool for project and task management.
The director of IAM, María Antoñanzas, explains that the objective is to «provide practical tools for the personal and professional growth of enrolled individuals» and «facilitate the keys and guidelines to implement the procedures that companies and organizations must comply with regarding equality.» Participants will be able to enhance their training through personalized consultations in IAM’s labor and business advisory services.
In the first semester, 380 people participated in the #IAMformación sessions, an initiative launched last year that has gained significant public acceptance.
