Young Talent Aragón Concludes Its Tenth Edition with 3,000 Registrants

The Talento Joven Aragón program, an initiative by Esic University and Heraldo de Aragón with the support of the Government of Aragón, has celebrated its tenth edition, reaching nearly 3,000 enrollees over a decade. The closing ceremony, held at the Sala de la Corona in the Pignatelli Building, featured prominent political and business figures, marking a milestone in promoting young talent in the region.

The closing ceremony of the tenth edition of Talento Joven Aragón brought together councilors Eva Valle and Carmen Susín, who highlighted the potential of young Aragonese. The event, held in the iconic Sala de la Corona of the Pignatelli Building, included the participation of the 50 finalists for 2026, along with the 19 companies that have awarded scholarships to these young talents. Images from the event, shared by the Government of Aragón, reflect the significance of this initiative in the regional landscape.

This edition awarded 19 scholarships, allowing the finalists to enjoy a one-year work experience with partnering companies. This program not only promotes the professional development of youth but also strengthens the link between emerging talent and the business community in Aragón.

Eva Valle’s Views on Talent and Economic Development

Eva Valle, councilor of Economy, Competitiveness, and Employment, described Talento Joven Aragón as a «win-win,» emphasizing its role as a guarantee for those seeking talent in Aragón. Valle stressed the importance of young people trained in the community choosing to settle there, viewing it as essential for the region’s future. She also highlighted that Aragón is at a pivotal moment for its economy, with increasing international recognition of its capabilities.

Carmen Susín’s Thoughts on the Program and Hybrid Training

Carmen Susín, councilor of Education, Science, and Universities, underscored the effort and talent present in the Talento Joven Aragón program. She highlighted the synergies created between Aragonese universities and companies, which facilitate the training of hybrid professionals capable of mastering languages and new technologies and building their personal brands. Susín emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in the success of this initiative.

In its ten years of existence, Talento Joven Aragón has engaged 2,875 students, of whom 1,032 were pre-selected and 470 reached the finalist stage. More than 150 young individuals have been awarded scholarships, with 35% of them continuing in the companies where they began their careers. This program has proven to be a catalyst for the professional development of young Aragonese, solidifying their presence in the local labor market.
