The 2025-2026 Big Concert Season at the Auditorium of Zaragoza Reaches 1,640 Subscribers
The new season at the Princess Leonor Auditorium in Zaragoza has recorded the highest number of subscribers in recent years, with 1,640 people signed up for the cycle. Individual tickets for the 16 scheduled concerts are now available starting today at box offices and digital platforms.
Increase in Subscribers and Renewals Made
The cycle has experienced a notable growth in its subscriber base, reaching 1,640 people following a successful commemorative season celebrating the 30th anniversary, which attracted nearly 32,000 spectators. Of the current total subscribers, approximately 75% corresponds to renewals from the previous season. The renewal period was available from June 9 to June 15, with additional upgrade options on June 18 and 19.
Highlighted Concerts in the Program
Return of Gustavo Dudamel: One of the most anticipated moments will be on December 11, when the Venezuelan conductor returns to lead the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela to perform Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 7 ‘Leningrad’, celebrating the 50th anniversary of El Sistema.
Inauguration: The season will kick off on October 28 with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vasily Petrenko.
Autumn and Winter Programming
Autumn: Includes performances by the European Chamber Orchestra with Antonio Pappano and violinist María Dueñas (November 14), and the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg with Trevor Pinnock and Julia Hagen (one week later).
San Valero Celebration: The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Gustavo Gimeno, will perform alongside pianist Bruce Liu, winner of the 2021 Chopin Competition.
Spring: Highlights include the London Symphony Orchestra (February 18), the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra with the Amici Sinfonici Choir (March 3), and the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana with Martha Argerich (March 17).
Special Proposals and Resident Groups
The program includes a recital by tenor Juan Diego Flórez with pianist Vincenzo Scalera (March 9) and a staged production of the opera “Turandot” in June, performed by the Aragón Kingdom Orchestra and the Amici Musicae Choir, featuring more than 200 people on stage.
The resident groups will also have a prominent presence: Al Ayre Español directed by Eduardo López Banzo (April 13) and The Musicians of His Highness (December 16) with a program dedicated to José de Nebra and featuring Aragonese singer Eugenia Boix.
The National Youth Orchestra of Spain will perform on January 10 under the direction of Jonathan Nott, while the season will culminate on May 29 with the Constellations Orchestra conducted by John Eliot Gardiner.
