Profession and Future Conference: A Key Meeting for Students
The Profession and Future Conference will be held on Wednesday, February 18 in the auditorium of the Ada Byron Building at the University of Zaragoza. The event is designed for master’s students in Industrial Engineering and technical degree students, providing a platform to interact with industry experts.
Among the speakers are prominent figures such as José Ramón Largo, an expert in energy installations, and Ana Moreno, CEO of Tranvías de Zaragoza. David Sánchez Mateo, a specialist in Lean Engineering, and Luis Soriano Bayo, who has extensive experience in industrial construction, will also participate. These professionals will share their knowledge and experiences, providing valuable insights into the future of industrial engineering.
High Employability and Professional Versatility
The Dean of the College, Salvador Galve, emphasizes that industrial engineers enjoy a 92% employability rate and a 98.6% activity rate. This high demand is due to the versatility of these professionals, who are capable of improving the sustainability and competitiveness of production processes through digitalization and decarbonization.
The adaptability of industrial engineers is especially valuable in the context of micro-enterprises and small businesses in Aragon and La Rioja, which represent 91% of the local business fabric. These companies, often limited in their hiring capacity, value the extensive training and flexibility that industrial engineers bring to their teams.
