City Hall unveils the Pilar Festival music program, featuring concerts at Plaza del Pilar, Jardín de Invierno and Estación del Norte, as well as a new stage dedicated to roots music at Plaza Salamero.
Zaragoza now knows one of the main pillars of the 2026 Pilar Festival music program. Malú, Antonio Orozco, Dani Fernández, Aterciopelados, Teenage Fanclub, María José Llergo, The Lemon Twigs, Shabaka, Cimafunk, Lucho RK, Iñigo Quintero, Rapsusklei and Sharif are among the artists set to perform during the festivities, officially scheduled from October 10 to 18.
Zaragoza City Hall on Tuesday presented its municipal lineup, spread primarily across the Ámbar Fuente de Goya stage in Plaza del Pilar, Jardín de Invierno and Estación del Norte. Joining them this year is one of the main new additions: the Roots Stage at Plaza Salamero, dedicated to folk and traditional music.
The program combines international and Spanish artists with a strong presence from Aragón. Many of the concerts included in this municipal program will be free to attend and will run alongside the ticketed shows already announced at venues including Espacio Zity, Pabellón Príncipe Felipe, the Auditorium and music halls across the city during those nine days.
Antonio Orozco, Dani Fernández and Malú at Plaza del Pilar
The Ámbar Fuente de Goya stage will host some of the program’s biggest draws. Antonio Orozco will open the schedule on Saturday, October 10, coinciding with the official start of the festivities, in an event organized jointly with Europa FM.
A day later, on Sunday the 11th, Dani Fernández will headline LOS40 Pilar Pop. Following several years of growth in his solo career, the singer will arrive in Zaragoza as part of his current La Insurrección Tour.
The Plaza del Pilar program will continue on Wednesday the 14th with the Carlos Cruz-Díez Symphony Orchestra. On Thursday the 15th, Espacio Zity will bring a show led by Andrés Campo and Alma Bakala to central Zaragoza, while Friday the 16th will be dedicated to electronic music with LOS40 Dance.
Malú will perform on Saturday the 17th at 9:30 p.m. in a concert promoted jointly with Cadena 100. The program will close on Sunday the 18th with a new performance of Somos, this time by Ara Malikian, Nacho del Río and the Ixena choir.
Aterciopelados, Teenage Fanclub and The Lemon Twigs at Jardín de Invierno
Jardín de Invierno in José Antonio Labordeta Park will once again serve as one of the venues most focused on international and alternative acts. It will host performances for seven consecutive nights, from October 11 to 17, with each headlining concert preceded by an act from Aragón.
Colombian band Aterciopelados will open the stage on Sunday the 11th, following Isla Kume. On Monday the 12th, Teenage Fanclub will take the stage, with Carasueño opening, while María José Llergo will perform on Tuesday the 13th after La Fuina.
U.S. band The Lemon Twigs will arrive on Wednesday the 14th, preceded by Hip Hip Cohete. Rufus T. Firefly will perform on Thursday the 15th after The Fractal Sound, while British musician Shabaka will headline Friday the 16th, which will open with Premier Pigs.
Cervatana will close Jardín de Invierno on Saturday the 17th, with Béla Sándor performing beforehand. The Aragón acts will begin at 9 p.m., while the headlining concerts are scheduled for 10 p.m.
Nine days of concerts at Estación del Norte
Estación del Norte will feature music every day of the festivities, from October 10 through 18. Its lineup spans urban music, rap, funk, rock, heavy metal and traditional music, with artists from Aragón appearing on much of the program.
Lucho RK will perform on Saturday the 10th, preceded by Slappy AV. Sunday the 11th will be particularly tied to Zaragoza’s music scene, with RdeRUMBA & PORCEL Funk Experience and an opening set by Lady Funk.
U.S. band Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies will arrive on Monday the 12th, with Direi as the opening act. La Ronda de Boltaña will take the stage on Tuesday the 13th after Dulzaineros del Bajo Aragón, while Toreros Muertos will perform on Wednesday the 14th, preceded by Dadá.
Cuban musician Cimafunk will headline Thursday the 15th, with The Windy Sioux opening the day. Heavy metal band Celtian will perform alongside Aragón’s Umbra on Friday the 16th, while Iñigo Quintero will take the stage on Saturday the 17th following a Red Bull DJ set.
The Estación del Norte closing event will have a distinctly Zaragoza flavor. Rapsusklei and Sharif will share the stage on Sunday the 18th at 6 p.m., bringing the venue’s nine-day program to an end.
Plaza Salamero debuts a stage dedicated to roots music
One of this year’s new features will be at Plaza Salamero. The new Roots Stage has been created to bring together folk, traditional music and contemporary projects working with those musical languages.
Its program will be concentrated between October 16 and 18 and will also include daytime concerts. Ester Vallejo and Biella Nuei will inaugurate the stage on Friday the 16th at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
Vivere Memento and Fulu Miziki will perform on Saturday the 17th. The latter is a collective from the Democratic Republic of the Congo that combines music and performance in an Afrofuturist project.
The final day, Sunday the 18th, will begin with Entreveradas at noon and continue an hour later with Lorena Álvarez. With this stage, Plaza Salamero regains its place on the festivities’ music map and expands the offering beyond nighttime concerts.
From Príncipe Felipe to Espacio Zity
The lineup presented by City Hall joins a music program that had already announced numerous names in recent months. La Oreja de Van Gogh will perform on October 9 and 10 at Pabellón Príncipe Felipe, with both dates sold out. Sergio Dalma will arrive on the 11th and Camela will perform on October 12.
Zaragoza Auditorium will also have its own program, including the Gran Fiesta del Rock & Roll on October 10, headlined by Alejo Stivel, Orquesta Mondragón and Rock con Ñ, as well as other shows in the following days.
In Valdespartera, Espacio Zity will offer a separate ticketed program featuring Myke Towers, Viva Suecia, Malmö 040, Ana Mena, Marina Reche, Taburete, Álvaro de Luna, Hey Kid, Love of Lesbian, Dorian, León Benavente, Saiko, La Pantera, Juan Magán and Omar Courtz, as well as various electronic music parties.
