Musical Variety and Highlights of the Month
The program at Rock & Blues features events that excel not only in quality but also in diversity. Among the scheduled concerts, some of the most notable include the performance by Jake La Botz, known for his gospel-noir blues music and his appearances in films such as «True Detective» and «Rambo,» who will perform on June 19. On the other hand, renowned jazz pianist Aaron Parks will close the Jazz & More series on June 29, an unmissable event for contemporary jazz lovers.
In addition to the big international names, the June concert series at Rock & Blues also provides an important space for local talents and musical varieties that represent the regional idiosyncrasy. Noteworthy is the return of La Banda L’Ambar, which is back on stage after 8 years with a repertoire that blends classic rock and blues, performing on June 14. Another notable act is the J Carpint Folk Grass Band, which will bring its unique fusion of Aragonese folk and American roots to the stage on June 28.
The series is not limited to music concerts, but also offers special events such as the 15th anniversary of Amparo Sánchez’s album Tucson-Habana, which will be celebrated on June 13 with a band formed at Paul McCartney’s LIPA school. Additionally, on June 26, the presentation of Kamikaze Helmets, a rock project looking to establish itself in the scene with influences from Led Zeppelin and Queens of the Stone Age, will be featured.
