Zaragoza showcases itself at WTE Miami 2025 to attract American tourists

Zaragoza will be present at the third edition of the WTE Miami International Travel and Tourism Expo on September 17 and 18, 2025. The aim is to promote the city as a tourist destination among the American public, taking advantage of the fact that this event is the largest trade fair in the sector in the eastern United States and the most relevant for the Latin market.

Participation and Business Strategy

José Francisco García, manager of Zaragoza Tourism, will attend the event to present the latest updates from the Aragonese capital for the years 2025 and 2026. During the fair, meetings are scheduled with more than 20 professionals, including travel agents and tour operators from the United States, Canada, and the Latin American market.

Main Promoted Tourist Attractions

Religious Heritage: The Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar positions Zaragoza as one of the main centers of Marian pilgrimage in the world and the epicenter of the Fiestas del Pilar, declared of International Tourist Interest.

Architectural Uniqueness: Zaragoza is the city of two cathedrals, something unique in Europe, hosting the Basilica of the Pillar and the Cathedral of the Savior (La Seo) in the largest pedestrian square in Europe.

Wine Tourism: The winemaking tradition makes Zaragoza the World Capital of Garnacha, with wine tourism offerings linked to the three Designations of Origin in the province: Cariñena, Calatayud, and Campo de Borja.

Astronomical Tourism: On August 12, 2026, the Solar Eclipse will be visible in Zaragoza, a phenomenon that will transform the city into the European epicenter of astronomical tourism, accompanied by an international program of cultural, scientific, and tourism events.

Tourism Growth Data

According to data from INE, during the period from January to May 2025, the number of overnight stays was 18,613, representing a 21% increase compared to 2024. This action is part of the international promotion strategy of Zaragoza Tourism in strategic markets, strengthening its position as a top-level tourist destination.
