The city of Zaragoza has set out to boost its economy and create new employment opportunities through a strategic approach that combines the Fiscal Plan to Attract Investments with obtaining European Next Generation Funds. At the first Plenary Finance and European Funds Committee, Councilor Blanca Solans reaffirmed the city government’s commitment to easing the tax burden and guaranteeing essential services, while creating a competitive environment to stimulate foreign investment.
105 million in Next Generation European Funds represent 93% of the financing available through competitive concurrence. These funds will be earmarked for investments of great relevance to the city, which drives the creation of projects with a visionary and sustainable approach that will benefit future generations.
“BEYOND THE CITY COUNCIL’S OWN COMPETENCIES FOR THE PROVISION OF ESSENTIAL SERVICES, THE CITY CANNOT IGNORE THE OPPORTUNITIES OFFERED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION TO POSITION ZARAGOZA AMONG THE BEST CITIES IN EUROPE AND THE WORLD,” SAID BLANCA SOLANS.
Blanca Solans emphasized that the city of Zaragoza cannot miss the opportunity to actively participate in the opportunities offered by the European Union, seeking to position itself as an exemplary city both in Europe and the rest of the world. The objective is to obtain investment for city projects that will leave a lasting legacy and, at the same time, serve as a reference for other cities aspiring to similar development.
With the combination of strategies, Zaragoza seeks to position itself as an attractive destination for foreign investment, offering an environment conducive to economic growth and job creation.
