Zaragoza Mayor Hails Vive Latino Festival as an Economic Engine and Cultural Showcase

Natalia Chueca highlights that the event has generated €20 million and over 1,500 jobs in just four editions, consolidating its status as a cultural landmark and a global showcase for Zaragoza.

The Vive Latino España festival drew more than 38,000 people to Zaragoza this past weekend, reaffirming its place as one of the leading music events in the Spanish-speaking world. Mayor Natalia Chueca praised the festival as “a great organizational, cultural and promotional success for the image of the city,” stressing that it “is already an undisputed cultural benchmark” and an “engine of economic development.”

Since its debut in 2022, the festival has attracted over 155,000 attendees, generated an economic impact of €20 million, and created more than 1,500 direct and indirect jobs in the region.

Chueca emphasized that culture is “a key driver of economic development, essential to project Zaragoza to the world and to generate wealth in our city.” She also highlighted that Zaragoza’s Expo fairgrounds provide “a solid foundation and the right infrastructure to host large-scale events,” reinforcing the city’s international projection.
