Fundación Ibercaja has opened the 27th edition of the national Reporteros en la Red competition, aimed at students in compulsory secondary education, upper secondary education, and vocational training programs up to the age of 20. Schools may submit entries through January 11, 2027, in a call that coincides with the institution’s 150th anniversary.
Reporteros en la Red 2027 seeks projects on science, mobility, and finance
The competition offers two entry formats, a written article and a video, and requires each proposal to be coordinated by a teacher at the participating school. Teams must assign their work to one of three thematic areas: Science and Technology, Mobility, or Financial Education.
In Science and Technology, submissions may address subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and mathematics, as well as technology, innovation, and economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The Mobility category focuses on the future of smart, connected, and sustainable transportation, including decarbonization, electrification, digital management, collaborative models, and autonomous mobility.
The Financial Education category accepts proposals related to the knowledge, behaviors, and values needed to make economic decisions in everyday life…
The competition promotes digital skills, research, and communication
Reporteros en la Red aims to complement students’ education through the use of technological and digital tools, research, collaborative learning, and project-based work. The call also emphasizes written and audiovisual communication skills, as well as the responsible use of the internet.
The 2026 edition brought together 570 students from across Spain representing 49 schools. Winners in each category and format received a cash prize and a certificate, while the winning entries can be viewed in Fundación Ibercaja’s Aula en Red educational content.
