Ibercaja will roll out a music, cultural and family program during Zaragoza’s Fiestas del Pilar, featuring its own activities at Plaza Ibercaja and Espacio Ibercaja Xplora, as well as sponsorships and partnerships at venues across the city.
Concerts and children’s workshops at Plaza Ibercaja and Espacio Ibercaja Xplora
Plaza Ibercaja will host the new music program Resuena, featuring Aragon-based bands Múltipla and Ixeya, which will perform on October 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. Los Bengala will round out the lineup on October 10 at 6:00 p.m..
The program will also include Resuena Kids, a children’s edition headlined by The Cucumbers. The group will perform two concerts on October 10, at 10:15 and 11:15 a.m..
Espacio Ibercaja Xplora will host free children’s activities, with advance registration required through its website. On October 13, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., it will hold the Cabezudos workshop; on October 14, there will be three sessions of My First Steps in Jota, at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and noon.
History, jota and family activities during the Fiestas del Pilar
The square outside Ibercaja’s headquarters, at Plaza Paraíso, 2, will host Los Pilares de Aragón. Through theatrical performances, the initiative will introduce audiences to figures including Agustina de Aragón, José de Palafox, Francisco de Goya and Raquel Meller, with shows on October 11, 12, 14 and 17, at 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m..
From October 10 to 18, Plaza Ibercaja will feature a photo opportunity with 11 notable Aragonese figures. The venue will also host, on October 14 at 6:30 p.m., a jota performance featuring Aragonese singers, musicians and dancers.
Family offerings include the León Garganchón, available at Plaza Ibercaja on October 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Screens in the headquarters’ Xcaparate area will offer an interactive game dedicated to the Cabezudos during the holiday period, while the Vamos ZGZ mascot will wear the traditional Aragonese cachirulo scarf.
Ibercaja sponsors concerts, jota and entertainment at venues across Zaragoza
The bank will take part in the Cabalgata del Pregón opening parade with its own float and will be present at the Giants and Cabezudos troupe, which will travel through different neighborhoods. It will also sponsor Río y Juego, at Parque del Agua, and the Parque de las Marionetas, scheduled from October 11 to 14 at Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta.
Support for tradition will include lead sponsorship of the Children’s Competition and the Official Jota Competition, scheduled for October 10 and 11 at Zaragoza Auditorium, as well as the stage at the Fuente de la Hispanidad. At Plaza del Pilar, Ibercaja will sponsor concerts by Antonio Orozco, Dani Fernández, Los 40 Dance and Malú.
At the Valdespartera fairgrounds, the bank supports the Zaragoza International Circus Festival and Zabaret, from October 8 to November 2, as well as the Planeta Jurásico exhibition, from October 8 to 25. Customers will be able to access discounts and promotions through entradas.ibercaja.es, where food vouchers for Las Food Trucks de Zaragoza will also be available: €30 for €25 through October 7.
