The matriX program of the European Center for Enterprises and Innovation (CEEI) of Aragón has received significant recognition in the Spanish institutional landscape. This distinction is part of a valuation process of innovative public initiatives that stand out for their impact and efficiency in the sector.
The matriX program has been selected as one of the five most innovative projects in the national public sector by the media outlet Disruptores. The distinction acknowledges the importance of the initiative in fostering entrepreneurship and the custom design of programs tailored to the specific needs of companies based in Aragón. The award was presented at a gala held at the Palacio de Neptuno in Madrid, attended by Javier Martínez Romero, director of CEEI. The grand prize of the call was awarded to the Cabildo de La Palma for its model of 1,500 sensors for monitoring CO2 emissions and predicting eruptions.
Structure and Functioning of the Programs
matriX operates as a business accelerator program currently hosting 14 companies from the Aragonese territory. The initiative, a national pioneer, offers comprehensive support tailored to the unique needs of each project. Complementarily, CEEI Aragón develops the Neo program, which serves as preparation and testing for companies wishing to access matriX, currently involving approximately 35 companies.
CEEI has received multiple awards in recent years. A few months ago, the center was chosen as the best business incubator in Spain, leading the Global Ranking of Funcas of Business Incubators and Accelerators 2025.
