Aragón will open 900 teaching positions in its 2027 competitive examinations, following an agreement between the Directorate-General for Personnel at the Department of Education, Science and Universities and the unions represented on the Sectoral Board. Most of the openings will be in secondary education, with a particular focus on English, Mathematics, and Spanish Language and Literature.
Secondary education accounts for 797 of the 900 teaching positions planned in Aragón
The agreement, signed with CSIF, CGT, CCOO, STEA-i and UGT, allocates the openings across 21 specializations in five teaching corps. The largest share is for Secondary Education Teachers, with 797 positions.
Within secondary education, English will have 189 positions, followed by Mathematics with 174, and Spanish Language and Literature with 160. The offering also includes 86 positions in Educational Guidance, 84 in Geography and History, 43 in Career Guidance and Training, 31 in Administrative Management Processes, and 30 in Computer Systems and Applications.
Languages, arts education, and vocational training round out the 2027 offering
Official Language Schools will add 54 positions: 36 in English, 13 in French, and 5 in German. Meanwhile, the Music and Performing Arts Teachers corps will have 23 positions across Music Theory, Fundamentals of Composition, Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet, Oboe, and Recorder.
The call also sets aside 10 positions for Teachers of Fine Arts and Design, split between Graphic Design and Art History, with five vacancies in each specialization. Specialist Teachers in Singular Vocational Training Sectors will complete the offering with 16 positions in Machining and Machine Maintenance.
