The General Directorate of Personnel at the Department of Education, Science, and Universities of Aragón has reached an agreement with trade unions regarding the specialties that will be included in the teacher examination call for 2027. This agreement is a key step in the educational planning of the region, covering a wide range of specialties from Secondary Education to Vocational Training.
Agreement in the Sectoral Education Table
The agreement was formalized in the Sectoral Education Table with the participation of the unions CSIF, CGT, CCOO, STEA-i, and UGT, all of which are represented on the body. The meeting took place at the Department of Education, Science, and Universities, highlighting inter-institutional collaboration to define the main lines of the future call. This action is part of the educational policy of the Government of Aragón, updated as of July 15, 2026.
Specialties Included in the Call
The 2027 examination call will include a variety of specialties for different teaching bodies. Among them are Secondary Education Teachers, Official Language Schools, Music and Performing Arts, Plastic Arts and Design, as well as Unique Sectors of Vocational Training. This broad approach aims to address the educational needs of the Aragón region.
In the Secondary Education area, positions will be announced for specialties such as Spanish Language and Literature, Geography and History, Mathematics, English, Educational Guidance, Vocational Training and Guidance, Administrative Management Processes, and Computer Systems and Applications. For the Official Language Schools, the specialties will be German, French, and English.
Negotiation Developments
In the area of Music and Performing Arts, specialties will include Clarinet, Flute, Recorder, Fundamentals of Composition, Oboe, Saxophone, and Musical Language. Meanwhile, Plastic Arts and Design will feature Graphic Design and Art History. In the Unique Sectors of Vocational Training, positions will be opened for Machining and Machine Maintenance.
After defining the specialties, the next step will be to specify the number of positions available for each. This aspect, along with the examination schedule, will be discussed at an upcoming meeting of the Sectoral Table, ensuring a detailed plan that meets the needs of the educational system in Aragón.
