42 agribusiness companies from Aragón participate in ALCAMPO events

42 Aragonese agri-food companies meet with ALCAMPO buyers at the III Suppliers’ Conference

The III Suppliers’ Conference organized by ALCAMPO and the business association Alimentos y Bebidas de Aragón took place on June 25 at the auditorium of Mercazaragoza. The event brought together companies from the Aragonese agri-food sector with buyers from the distribution chain to strengthen their business relationships.

Participation and event development

A total of 42 agri-food companies from Aragon participated in the coordinated meeting agendas for this event. Interviews between agri-food companies and regional and national buyers from ALCAMPO were held throughout the morning.

The main objective of this conference was to foster relationships between Aragonese agri-food companies and the purchasing managers from the main Food and Beverage sections of the ALCAMPO chain.

ALCAMPO has been committed for years to promoting local food and supporting Aragonese products. The chain actively participates in the various joint promotional actions carried out by Alimentos y Bebidas de Aragón and the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food of the Government of Aragon.

Juan José Dávila, Territorial Director of ALCAMPO for Aragon, La Rioja, Navarra, and Soria, stated that the chain will continue to support Aragonese agri-food production with the new campaign “Sabor de verdad”, launched on June 19 by the Government of Aragon. “What we do is not just buy and sell: it is to listen, to support, to give visibility to the work that is grown, raised, and produced in Aragon,” he declared.

The conference allowed industry companies to better understand the ALCAMPO chain and its main strategic pillars, which include a commitment to local products, a wide range of food and beverage offerings, and sustainability.

Enrique Chueca, President of Alimentos y Bebidas de Aragón, emphasized the importance of organizing such conferences so that Aragonese and Spanish consumers can enjoy the quality and variety of Aragonese products thanks to chains like ALCAMPO. He also noted that the association is working to provide visibility at the point of sale to Aragonese foods with the new campaign “Sabor de verdad”.
