On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Monastery of Veruela will host the series Veruela Moves: Dance and Circus in the Monastery, a fresh, contemporary, and high-level artistic offering that combines risky disciplines with great visual beauty across various spaces of the venue.
Program (12:30 PM – Free Admission):
- NOSTRAXLADAMUS: “VOLATINEROS” (Funambulism) Miguel Pollan and Julia Bernard (Aragon/France) present a multidisciplinary show at a height of 10 meters. Poetry, balance, and risk on the tightrope, accompanied live by the keyboard of Daniel Ferruz.
- MAITE SARRAL: “DESNUDA” (Vertical Dance) A suspended contemporary dance performance that explores emptiness, surrender, and emotional ties. A piece of great physical and poetic intensity.
- MADDÍ UBANI: “BOCA A BOCA” (Dance Performance) An intimate and constantly evolving piece that explores the uterus-voice channel and bodily memories. A tribute to generations of women and an invitation to be reborn in the face of uncertainty.
- TRAPECIO MUCHO: “IMPARTO SONORO” (Contemporary Circus) A double trapeze piece where two bodies intertwine in perfect symmetry, creating images of great tension and beauty. It interacts with the live experimental vocal music of Gustavo Giménez.
- TERESA MAGALLÓN AND MARÍA GANZARAIN: “DOBLES” (Duet Dance) A philosophical, emotional, and playful exploration of unity, interdependence, and the bonds between two individuals.
Location: Various sites within the Monastery of Veruela Time: 12:30 PM Admission: Free (arriving early is recommended)
This series is one of the most innovative and appealing offerings of the Veruela Estival 2026, aiming to bring the arts of movement and contemporary circus to such a historically significant setting as the Monastery.
