The San Jorge University and ICEX Spain Export and Investments have signed a collaboration agreement that will allow undergraduate and master’s students to broaden their international training and experience in areas related to business, economics, commerce, and law. The agreement, signed on June 23, 2025 in Zaragoza, will facilitate the incorporation of young people into the labor market by combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
Features of the collaboration program
The agreement includes the provision of external internships for university students, who will be able to complete their training by combining theoretical knowledge with practical content. The internships will take place at ICEX’s operational centers in Spain and will have a maximum duration of 750 hours, distributed between January and July of each year.
This initiative will improve the professional training of students in the area of internationalization, thereby facilitating their subsequent entry into the labor market with specialized training in specific sectors related to the international sphere.
Institutional perspective
ICEX Vision: Elisa Carbonell, CEO of ICEX, explains that «Spanish companies need talent and qualified individuals in internationalization and need professionals with solid training to help them adapt to the changing needs required by international markets.»
San Jorge University Approach: Rector Silvia Carrascal highlights that the university, which has been bringing university education closer to the social and professional reality of its environment for 20 years, seeks to «continue to open the doors of internationalization for its students,» considering this one of the fundamental pillars of its learning model. «At San Jorge University, we train professionals with a global perspective, capable of entrepreneurship or working with an international vision, and this agreement with ICEX is another step in our strategy to facilitate our students’ entry into global job markets.»
