Alpha Unmanned Systems has secured €4 million in financing to expand production of its unmanned tactical helicopters. The transaction is backed by Cesce and involves Banco Santander, Bankinter, and BBVA.
The Spanish company will use the funds to open a new facility in Madrid, expand its workforce, and accelerate the development of its dual-use platforms and subsystems. It also plans to strengthen its commercial operations in Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Asia.
According to the company, its systems have customers in more than 14 countries, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the Hellenic Navy, and Bulgaria’s Border Police. In Spain, its drones are used by the Civil Guard, the Military Emergency Unit, and the Navy.
