Aicox and private equity firm Senda Investment Partners have finalized the acquisition of Atika Technologies, a specialist in private 5G networks and connectivity solutions. The value of the deal was not disclosed. The transaction forms part of the companies’ plan to create a Spanish group focused on military communications, electronic warfare, and advanced technology.
The industrial platform is valued at around €400 million, according to information published by Infodefensa. Its backers expect it to generate combined revenue of €110 million and EBITDA of more than €30 million.
Atika contributes its capabilities in next-generation connectivity and deployable solutions for a range of operational environments. The company, whose main shareholders are Rafael Argudo García de Lago and Guillermo Cervera de la Hera, is also a technology partner of Telefónica.
Investment and new plants in Madrid
The acquisition coincides with an investment of up to €300 million by Senda Investment Partners in Aicox, which is owned by the Laborda family. The fund, launched by Víctor García and Javier Olascoaga, is supporting the company’s industrial and technology growth plan.
The strategy includes the construction of two plants in the Madrid region, scheduled to begin operations from 2027. The project aims to expand production and innovation capacity in critical communications, next-generation private networks, and electronic warfare.
Cabal Capital acted as Atika’s financial adviser and coordinated the transaction structure. Bores y Cía Abogados, Garrigues, and Pérez-Llorca were involved in the legal and institutional aspects, while KPMG and PwC handled the financial review and due diligence processes.
