A Journey Through Andrés Jarabo’s Career
The exhibition «Andrés Jarabo. Sewing Matter (2000-2025)» is the first monographic retrospective of the designer and is curated by Carolina Naya. It is presented in room 94 of the museum and brings together more than 250 sketches, sewn drawings, and embroidery, two installations, several documentary videos, and seven fashion collections. This journey allows visitors to appreciate Jarabo’s initial experiments as well as his more recent reflections on sustainable fashion.
The collections included in the exhibition represent over 20 designs that reflect the evolution of the designer and his commitment to innovation and sustainability. Visitors can explore how Jarabo has integrated contemporary concepts into his creations, highlighting his ability to reinvent the use of materials in fashion.
Jarabo’s Distinctive Style
Andrés Jarabo’s creations are distinguished by their delicacy and creativity, blending his sculptural training with the art of patternmaking. His designs range from urban models to Haute Couture, using a neutral color palette of grays, black, and white, with occasional touches of symbolic colors. This timeless approach emphasizes his skill in creating pieces that are both innovative and classic.
Jarabo’s work is characterized by experimental patternmaking that emphasizes volumes, folds, and aesthetic details, always aiming for visual delight. His creative versatility allows him to easily move between different styles while maintaining a unique and recognizable identity.

In addition to the exhibition, the IAACC Pablo Serrano has organized a program of complementary activities that includes guided visits led by curator Carolina Naya.
