The IES Lucas Mallada in Huesca has been recognized in the «Consuming in Equality» Story Contest, where Patricia Alexandra Tanasie Clamba, a 2nd-year Baccalaureate student, won second prize with her story «The Life Behind Labels.» This recognition highlights the commitment of young Aragonese to equality in consumption.
Highlighted Awards in the Story Contest
In the Baccalaureate and Vocational Training category, the first prize was awarded to Dahbia Amoura, a 1st-year Baccalaureate student from IES Rodanas, for her work «Total to Pay.» The second place went to Patricia Alexandra Tanasie Clamba from IES Lucas Mallada, reinforcing the prestige of this institution in the literary field. In the ESO category, the first prize was shared by Daniela Lobico Alcubierre and Natalia Ibáñez Monfort, both from 3rd ESO at the San José de Calasanz Center in Barbastro.
Participation and Organization of the Contest
The «Consuming in Equality» Story Contest received 111 submissions from all over Aragon, reflecting a strong interest among students in topics of responsible consumption and equality. Organized by the Government of Aragon, in collaboration with the DFA Foundation and the Aragonese Youth Institute (IAJ), the contest aims to encourage critical and creative reflection among young people on mindful consumption.
Acknowledgments and Prizes
The winners of the contest received a diploma and a series of gifts that included a backpack, a bottle, wireless headphones, a pen drive, a novel, and a portable hard drive, thus encouraging the participation and motivation of students. The awards ceremony was conducted by Inma de Francisco, the General Director of Consumer Protection and Users, at an event held in Huesca, which underscored the importance of educating in values of equality from an early age.
