The Government of Aragón and Lamusa y Servicios S.L., the official dealer of John Deere, have signed a General Protocol of Actions to modernize Vocational Training in the agri-food sector. This agreement aims to enhance technical training in the community, aligning it with the new demands of the sector.
Collaboration for a Modern Vocational Education
The signed protocol establishes a framework for collaboration between the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports of Aragón and Lamusa y Servicios. Its goal is to promote technical-professional education in key areas such as Agriculture, Transportation and Vehicle Maintenance, Installation and Maintenance, and Electricity and Electronics. Special emphasis is placed on the intensive dual system, which combines theoretical training with practical experience.
The modernization of vocational training focuses on knowledge transfer and training in advanced digital tools. Additionally, it seeks to promote sustainable practices in the agri-food sector, ensuring that students are prepared to face the current and future challenges of the industry.
Commitments and Benefits for Students and Companies
Lamusa y Servicios has committed to providing updated training content aligned with the technological reality of the sector. It will offer training at its facilities in Aragón, facilitating an intensive program that includes personal and professional support for students. Moreover, the incorporation of students through alternating contracts will be encouraged, allowing them to gain valuable work experience while completing their training.
On its part, the Government of Aragón will ensure that educational centers have the necessary resources to implement these programs. It will also ensure compliance with educational standards and promote the adoption of these programs in participating centers.
Duration of the Protocol and Empleatech Program
The protocol has an initial duration of four years, with the possibility of extending it for another four. A work team and a follow-up committee are expected to be created to ensure the achievement of objectives. This initiative is part of the Empleatech program of John Deere, which seeks to bridge technical training with the needs of the agri-food sector, promoting skills in advanced mechanization, digitalization, and applied electronics.
