Aragón Strengthens Its Leadership in Stone Fruit at Fruit Attraction 2025
The Aragonese horticultural sector participated in the XVII edition of Fruit Attraction, held at IFEMA Madrid from September 30 to October 2. The fair, the leading international event for the marketing of fruits and vegetables, brought together 2,460 companies from 64 countries and over 120,000 professional visitors from 150 nationalities.
Aragón was represented by 36 exhibiting companies, of which 22 participated as part of the brand Alimentos de Aragón – «Aragón, true flavor». The institutional stand covered 384 m² distributed across three islands, marking a 10% increase compared to the previous edition.
With more than 600,000 tons projected for 2025, Aragón consolidates its position as the national leader in stone fruit production (peach, nectarine, flat peach, and cherry). This figure represents a quarter of Spanish production, establishing the region as a European benchmark in quality and volume.
Internationalization remains a key strength of the sector. Currently, 69% of Aragonese fruit and vegetable exports are destined for European markets —such as France, Germany, and Italy— while the emerging markets of Asia and Eastern Europe are gaining ground, with China and Thailand as notable examples.
In 2024, the Aragonese agri-food sector reached exports of over 3.7 billion euros, a 5% increase from the previous year, consolidating its sustained growth and its ability to compete in major international markets.
Participation in Fruit Attraction 2025 has highlighted the joint efforts of institutions, companies, and professionals to enhance the visibility of Aragonese agri-food products. The Government of Aragón reaffirms its support for this strategic sector, an economic engine of the territory and a representative of the flavor, tradition, and innovation that characterize Aragonese foods.
