Aragón becomes the epicenter of international attention by hosting ten renowned importers following the Alimentaria 2026 fair. This reverse mission, organized by AREX, ICEX Spain Export and Investments, and Aragón Alimentos «Aragón, True Flavor,» aims to enhance the international projection of the Aragonese agrifood sector.
Importers from around the world explore Aragon’s potential
The ten international buyers come from South Korea, Kazakhstan, Thailand, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Chile, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Croatia. Selected by the Economic and Commercial Offices of Spain, these importers represent a diverse range of profiles, from large distribution groups to gourmet operators with their own establishments. Their presence in Aragón presents an opportunity to explore new partnerships and expand the reach of Aragonese products in strategic markets.
Business visits to the heart of the agrifood sector
Over three days, the importers visit emblematic companies in the Aragonese agrifood sector. These include Tostados de Calidad, Bodegas CARE, Pastelerías Manuel Segura, MyTruff, Jamones Airesano, and Mr. Brownie. The visitors have the opportunity to closely observe farms, production plants, vineyards, and facilities, as well as taste distinguished products such as extra virgin olive oil, Jamón de Teruel DOP, Teruel IGP pork, black truffles, and Aragonese wines.
International promotion and cultural experiences
The mission is not only focused on the business aspect. Activities include paired dinners at recognized restaurants such as Montal, Mestisso, and Yaín, as well as guided tours that enrich the importers’ experience. Additionally, AREX, Aragón Alimentos, and ICEX are committed to the international promotion of the sector, participating in fairs such as Anuga 2025 and planning events like Taste Spain Budapest and Spain Fusion Zurich. In 2025, the Aragonese agrifood sector established itself as the leading exporting sector, reaching a volume of 3,676.15 million euros.
