The Aragonese Institute of Art and Contemporary Culture (IAACC) Pablo Serrano has launched its sixth Pablo Serrano/Juana Francés Call for Artistic Creation and Production. This initiative is aimed at artists interested in developing contemporary research and creation projects, offering a unique platform for artistic exploration.
Characteristics of Artistic Projects
The submitted projects must focus on a process of artistic research and creation that results in the production of new, unpublished pieces. These works should be developed from both theoretical and practical perspectives, aligning with contemporary creation and the author’s trajectory. The call is inclusive, with no restrictions on age, residency, origin, or artistic discipline, making it an open opportunity for a wide spectrum of creators.
Contract and Execution Details
The contract for the selected artist is valued at up to 5,000 euros, excluding applicable taxes. The project execution period is stipulated between May 11 and November 30, 2026. During this time, the artist will work in the museum’s studios, allowing for a total immersion in the creative process. Upon completion, the project may be exhibited in the spaces of the IAACC Pablo Serrano, with the exception of the permanent exhibition halls.
Proposal Submission Process
Interested parties must submit their proposals by April 20 at 14:00 hours. Submissions can be made via the museum’s website, attaching the necessary documentation in a single PDF file. Alternatively, proposals can also be submitted through any official registry addressed to the IAACC Pablo Serrano, under the General Directorate of Culture of the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Government of Aragon.
