AWS and IDiA Launch RasmIA Innovation Camp to Boost Technological Innovation in Aragón
Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IDiA have presented the RasmIA Innovation Camp, a technological innovation program designed to accelerate the digital transformation of companies in Aragón. This initiative, supported by the Government of Aragón, aims to make the region a benchmark for technological innovation in southern Europe through public-private collaboration. The program allows organizations to experiment and develop new solutions based on advanced cloud technologies, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The central objective of the RasmIA Innovation Camp is to help participating companies accelerate their innovation by creating new products and services. The work methodology is based on Amazon’s innovation principles, working backward from customer needs to define the most suitable technological solutions. Co-creation sessions enable organizations to address real transformation challenges in an environment that fosters collaboration and networking.
Jorge Azcón, president of Aragón, highlighted the strategic importance of the initiative as a decisive step toward a digital future that demonstrates a commitment to digital transformation and technology as drivers of economic growth.
Participants will develop proof of concepts with direct mentorship from AWS experts, attend customer experience design sessions, and prototype development. The program includes specialized training in areas such as generative artificial intelligence, data strategy, cybersecurity, and agile methodologies. Additionally, companies will have visibility options, including showcasing new products at AWS events.
For her part, Suzana Curic, Country Leader of AWS Spain, emphasized AWS’s commitment to Aragón, mentioning a planned investment of €15.7 billion in cloud infrastructure by 2033, and confirmed that this new initiative represents an additional step in the social and economic commitment to the country.
The first edition has already welcomed leading companies from various sectors. Among the confirmed organizations are Adidas, Carreras Grupo Logístico, Ibercaja, Grupo Pikolin, Grupo Saica, and Grupo SAMCA. The program focuses its efforts on strategic sectors for the Aragonese economy: energy and sustainability, banking services, logistics and supply chain, agribusiness and food technology, circular economy, education, and manufacturing.
The initial projects of the RasmIA Innovation Camp will focus on developing new services for young audiences, creating proactive, scalable, and transparent customer care ecosystems, and real-time predictability of operations.
Iñaki González, president of IDiA, emphasized that collaboration is the foundation of innovation and competitiveness, noting that the alliance with AWS aims to establish Aragón as a reference point in technological innovation through a solid digital ecosystem that promotes business growth.
