«Lanza Teruel» mobilizes 6.5 million to boost four projects and create 71 jobs in the province

The Government of Aragón has approved the allocation of 6.47 million euros in aid to four business projects in the province of Teruel, as part of the «Lanza Teruel» initiative. These initiatives will entail a combined private investment of over 42 million euros and will allow for the creation of 71 new jobs in the region, with an execution period extending until October 2026.

The beneficiary companies are International Aerospace Coatings (IAC), Ronal Ibérica, Jamones Albarracín, and Fertinagro Biotech. All these companies will develop projects that focus on technological modernization, energy efficiency, and added value in strategic sectors such as aerospace, automotive, agri-food, and biotechnology.

IAC will receive 2 million euros for the construction of a new maintenance and painting hangar for wide-body aircraft at the Teruel Airport. This project, crucial for consolidating the facility as an international aerospace hub, will generate 55 jobs and significantly expand the company’s operational capacity.

Jamones Albarracín will invest over 5.2 million euros to expand its plant in Platea. With public funding of 1.56 million, the project will create four new jobs and strengthen its position in the high-end meat sector.

Ronal Ibérica will invest over 9.4 million euros in the construction of a painting facility and the modernization of its production lines. With a grant of 1.76 million, the company expects to generate 10 jobs and improve its competitiveness within the automotive components sector.

Meanwhile, Fertinagro Biotech will develop a new plant for processing agricultural by-products through precision fermentation. This investment, close to 9.7 million euros, will receive aid of 1.13 million and will enable the creation of two new jobs focused on producing functional ingredients for the food industry.

The Vice President of the Government of Aragón, Mar Vaquero, has described this aid as «an important economic boost for Teruel,» emphasizing that «job creation and opportunities is the best way to secure the future of those who want to live and grow in this province.»

The regional government has also stressed the need to expedite the signing of the FITE 2025 program by the central government so that funds arrive on time and without delays. From Aragón, it is insisted that administrative efficiency is key for these programs to have a real impact on the local economy.

The Lanza Teruel initiative is aimed at medium and large companies that develop investment, innovation, or energy improvement projects. The aid percentage ranges from 12% to 35%, depending on the type of each project.
