The fifth edition of Cultiva 2026, held in Albero Bajo, Huesca, reaffirms Aragón’s position as a leader in agricultural innovation. With the participation of the Minister of Agriculture, Aránzazu Simón, the event has established itself as the national benchmark for extensive crops, bringing together industry professionals in a 15-hectare environment transformed into an outdoor laboratory.
A benchmark event in agricultural innovation
Cultiva 2026 has succeeded in attracting more than 3,000 visitors and includes the participation of approximately 60 companies and organizations. In total, 56 exhibitors and 25 agronomic showcases are distributed throughout the venue, along with spaces dedicated to agriculture 4.0. The day combines field demonstrations, agronomic trials, and the application of advanced technologies, aiming to promote a more competitive, technologically advanced, and profitable agriculture.
The event not only offers a platform for showcasing new technologies but also allows farmers and technicians to evaluate varieties, treatments, and emerging technologies in real-world conditions, thereby facilitating informed decision-making.
Statements from Minister Aránzazu Simón
During her visit, Minister Aránzazu Simón highlighted the relevance of Cultiva as a major reference for extensive crops and agricultural innovation in Spain. Simón emphasized the practical importance of the meeting, which allows farmers and technicians to directly assess the presented innovations in the field. She also stressed the capacity of the Aragonese agricultural sector to adapt and professionalize in the face of challenges such as the profitability of farms, water management, and the generational shift.
The crucial role of the ARAX Network
The minister also acknowledged the work of the ARAX Network, which has become a fundamental technical pillar for the project. Following the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Department of Agriculture a year ago, the ARAX Network has played an essential role in knowledge transfer and improving the profitability of agricultural operations.
